Episcopal Worship at St. Giles
- Scripture readings.
- Music from a rich choral tradition.
- Preaching that emphasizes a Biblical message of God’s unconditional love for humanity and all created beings.
- Prayers for the world and our own thanksgivings and needs.
- The sacrament of Holy Eucharist
Visitors are greeted at the door by a parishioner and handed a service bulletin, which contains the service, the readings and the music for the day. This consolidated guide replaces the separate use of the Book of Common Prayer and the hymnal, and makes the order of worship more accessible to newcomers.
Children are welcomed as full members of the congregation. Older children (6th grade and up) are invited to serve at the altar as acolytes. Children are welcome to attend Sunday School and rejoin their parents for communion. Childcare is also available for younger children.
